In privatizing (Dutch) Health Law, the national Health and Safety Executives were also privatized. Achmea Arbo, a merger between the Arbo Groep Gak and the Arbo Management Groep, is constantly buffeted between the pressures of government rules and commercial objectives. The realisation that opportunities are more and more in the field of pro-active and commercial management of rules and legislation, demands a different way of thinking and working. The Marketing Manager asks: “How can we make a cultural shift and commercially anticipate future chances?”
Our approach
A more commercial way of working has consequences for the internal organisation. Therefore, give managers within Achmea Arbo practical advice to perform better. After a number of inventory talks, Kenneth Smit also determined that the Achmea Arbo experts, such as Health and Safety Executive doctors, had to be provided with extra tools to be able to convince customers of the importance of a good Health and Safety policy, especially in the future. The custom-made Office Managers and Professionals trainings were started.
